Lin Tian Mountain, formerly known as Morisaka, is hidden in Fenglin, Hualien. After the retrocession, it was renamed Senrong. It is the most complete and unique logging base left in Taiwan, and in terms of scale and importance, it is the most crucial site and testimony in the history of Taiwan's forestry development. During the Japanese occupation period, the Japanese discovered hot springs in the Wanli Creek within the forest area and built a hot spring resort to manage and operate. In 1939, the exploration and excavation of pulp raw materials began, marking the beginning of the forestry industry. In the 1960s, when logging was at its peak, Lin Tian Mountain was bustling with people, earning it the reputation of "Little Shanghai" and becoming one of Taiwan's four major forest areas. However, with the implementation of the government's policy to ban logging, the loggers at Lin Tian Mountain gradually dispersed, taking the original prosperity with them. Nevertheless, Lin Tian Mountain still preserves the most complete logging scene and imagery.
