In 1987, a tunnel was excavated at Wulai Waterfall Station, replacing the original turntable, and this has been in use ever since. The operating route is 1.5 kilometers long, from Wulai to Wulai Waterfall, and runs back and forth every day from 9 am to 5 pm, with operating hours adjusted during peak summer seasons, and trains depart as soon as they are full to serve tourists.
