Shimen Guan. To visit Haiyin Temple, one must first pass through an arched stone gate, which serves as an entrance and is therefore called the Shimen Guan, one of the twelve scenic wonders of Taiwu Mountain. To visit the Haiyin Temple, one must first pass through a stone arch gate, which serves as an entrance and is therefore called the Stone Gate. It is one of the twelve scenic spots of Mount Taiwu. The Stone Gate is constructed with thick and sturdy granite and features a reverse-slope roof, with slightly upturned corners, giving it a sense of lightness and beauty. The horizontal inscription above the gate bears the four characters "Haishan First" written by Lu Ruo-teng, a loyal minister of the Ming dynasty. The Stone Gate is currently listed as a county-designated historic site.
