Yang Hua was a renowned military general during the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods, who had participated in the suppression of the Lin Shuangwen rebellion and the eradication of pirates. His ancestral home is a traditional Minnan-style building with a three-section main hall and a left wing, featuring a three-river ridge on the entrance hall and a dragon-and-swallow ridge on the front and back halls. The intricate details of the decorations are extremely exquisite, with notable dragon wood carvings and brick carvings on the door posts. Although the colorful paintings on the wooden beams and brackets have faded, the elegant and powerful wood carvings remain.
