There is a natural cave at the location, and inside the cave, there originally was an ancient table and chair with a chessboard carved into it, but they have all toppled over, and what can be seen now is a later reconstruction by the Taiwanese military. The platform beside the cave is high and offers a distant view, with the landscape of the mainland on the opposite shore visible one by one, and the outer walls and crisscrossing paths of the western part of Kinmen Island are also clearly in sight, making it clear that Koxinga's choice of this spot for reviewing troops was a wise one.
