It is a man-made lake formed by intercepting the Jincheng River, built in 1972, and is one of the five major lakes in Kinmen. The lake is surrounded by windbreak forests, and there are small pavilions and arch bridges scattered around, among which the Dongmei Pavilion, built in memory of the philosophical master Fang Dongmei, and the Huixiao Bridge, which spans the center of the lake, are the most striking. On the south shore, there is a famous wind lion god at the Hou Shui Tou, with a large-eyed and wide-mouthed shape, which is quite interesting.
