The ditch on the left side of the temple is a traditional waterway that flows down from the slope of Juguang Road, which is why the Lingji Temple has the characteristics of a Water Tail Temple, which is a temple that guards the treasury. The name Guanyin Ting comes from the fact that the temple enshrines Guanyin Bodhisattva, so the locals in the area are accustomed to calling the Lingji Temple Guanyin Ting. The name Lingji Ancient Temple was given by the abbot, Master Wei De, after he took office. The inscription on the incense burner in front of the temple, which was set up in 1968, is still visible. The current roof of the Lingji Temple has a large ridge beam with a record from 1978, which was mentioned by the abbot, Master Wei De, at that time: "This temple was founded in the 20th year of the Dezhong era of the Tang Dynasty, in the year 804...".
