Shuangli Ancient God of War Temple. Gongliao is also known as Guoling or Jiari, including Nanshan, Beishan and Linzhu. In the past, a bay of sea water wound its way between Nanshan and Beishan, resembling a reversed head and tail. Guting Head is also known as Gu Long Head or Jiali Head, including Nanshan, Beishan and Lin Cuo. In the past, there was a bay of seawater winding between Nanshan and Beishan, with a scenery resembling a pair of carp biting each other's tails, hence the name Shuangli Lake. Between the lake and the sea, there was a small sandbar floating above the water surface, resembling a lotus flower emerging from the water. Cartographers said it resembled a pair of carp receiving a pearl, so a temple called "Shuangli Ancient Land" was built here, worshiping Guan Gong as the guardian deity, accompanied by Guan Ping and Zhurong. The temple was first built in the 13th year of Qing Qianlong, and was rebuilt in 1927. During the 823 artillery battle, numerous shells fell around it, but this Shuangli Ancient Land temple stood firm without any damage, further demonstrating its sacredness and divine miracle. The temple was rebuilt in 1974 and 1984, and completed its reconstruction in 2008, further enhancing the temple's golden and colorful splendor.
