Jinlin Settlement. Cai Village is located in the central part of Jinmen Island, where residents are predominantly of the Cai surname, and it is the largest ancient village cluster on the island. Located in the central part of Jinmen Island, Qionglin is a village where residents are mainly surnamed Cai. It is the largest ancient village cluster in Jinmen. In the past, due to the talent of its residents, they achieved great success in their careers. The village was named "Qionglin" by the emperor of the Ming dynasty, and at that time, whenever someone passed the imperial examination, a ancestral hall would be built. Therefore, Qionglin has a total of six ancestral halls of different sizes, known as "seven halls and eight ancestral halls." These include the Cai Family Temple (the main ancestral hall), the Six-generation Zhuoxi Gong Ancestral Hall, the Tenth-generation Baoya Gong Ancestral Hall, the Six-generation Leputong Gong and the Tenth-generation Tingfu Gong Ancestral Hall, the Six-generation Qiante Hall, the Eleventh-generation Rongsheng Gong Ancestral Hall, and the Sixteenth-generation Cai Shouyu Ancestral Hall. It can be said that Qionglin is the village with the most ancestral halls on Jinmen Island, and the Cai Family Temple is the heart of the village and the pride of the Cai family, the largest surname in the village. The wind lion dog on the back wall of the temple is a popular tourist attraction and has been designated as a historic site.
