Located on the east coast of Kinmen, Bishan Settlement, although not part of Kinmen National Park, boasts a rich landscape blending different cultures, attracting visitors time and again. In 2002, during the historical architecture event themed "The Call of Bishan," the term "Eight Views of Bishan" emerged, including the famous Chen Ching-chi Western-style House, Chen Te-hsing Western-style House, Ruiyou School, a century-old Pistacia chinensis tree, a traditional four-hallway residence, Zhaoling Temple, and ancestral shrines, becoming the must-visit landmarks of Bishan Settlement! Furthermore, wall paintings created by picture book artist Liu Rui-chi (wawa) and village volunteers, along with students from Anlan Elementary School, have brought vitality to the rustic settlement, adding a touch of new generation creativity and continuing a new chapter for Bishan Settlement.
