Zhongxing Cultural and Creative Park. The site of Zhongxing Cultural and Creative Park was originally the "Taiwan Zhongxing Paper Corporation," formerly known as "Taiwan Kogyo Co., Ltd." established in 1935. Its papermaking technology began during the Japanese colonial era by recycling sugarcane bagasse and using cogon grass for pulp. Later, it also utilized the chemical industry to produce white paper. The paper mill primarily produced newsprint, as well as various cultural and industrial papers such as newspapers, toilet paper, and Daolin paper. At the time, it was not only the largest paper mill in Taiwan but also the largest in Southeast Asia in terms of production volume!
