Follow in the footsteps of former shepherds, treading through the ravines of the Nankan River tributaries. The sheep pens (a term from Taiwanese Hokkien) and grazing scenes in the woods are no longer visible, but instead, many hikers can be seen traversing this quiet mountain trail. The Yangchou Forest Trail is approximately 3.3 kilometers long, generally flat and easy to walk. The path is lush and green, and you can also see the High-Speed Rail passing through a tunnel in the distance. A visit is definitely worthwhile!
