Follow the Western Coastal Highway, pass through the Zhuwei Fishing Harbor and head south to visit the coastal paradise where the Laojie River and Shuangxikou River converge. The sea is beautiful, the sky is blue, the shrikes fly gracefully, the mudskippers open their eyes adorably, and time flows slowly like the windmills by the shore. Xucuo Harbor, originally a disused military camp, has become an ideal stopover for migratory birds due to its developed river systems and well-formed estuary topography. It covers an area of 961 hectares and stretches 10.5 kilometers long, designated as a "Important Wetland (National Level)" by the Ministry of the Interior. Apart from the bicycle paths and mangrove boardwalks, there are hardly any artificial structures in sight. While it may seem unremarkable at first glance, this place is home to many "national treasures" and boasts a rich, pristine ecosystem that offers new surprises with every visit!
