Amidst the boundless verdant mountains, Baling Bridge is a pale pink ribbon spanning the two sides of the Dahan River, a delightful surprise for travelers heading to the homeland of peaches. Listed as one of the three famous bridges on the Northern Cross-Island Highway (the other two being Luofu Bridge and Dahan Bridge), Baling Bridge was completed in 2005 and is a must-visit landmark in the Baling area. The 220-meter-long steel structure bridge, with a maximum span of 185 meters, boasts the longest span among bridges along the Dahan River. Compared to the Old Baling Bridge, which only allows single-lane traffic and is merely 4.5 meters wide, Baling Bridge offers greater transportation efficiency. With a total width of 11.5 meters, including a 7.5-meter-wide two-way roadway and a 1.5-meter-wide pedestrian walkway, it effectively alleviates traffic congestion for vehicles traveling to and from Lalashan and Jiaobanshan on weekends. The flowing curves of the Dahan River showcase its magnificent grandeur, and walking across the bridge allows one to truly appreciate the astonishing architectural craftsmanship.
