Islam, one of the three major religions alongside Buddhism and Christianity, boasts one-fifth of the global population of believers. Currently, there are at least nine mosques in Taiwan, and Longgang Mosque is one of the few historically significant mosques in Taiwan. From the entrance gatehouse, the main hall foyer, to the separate prayer halls for men and women, it showcases Islamic cultural characteristics and has become one of the important centers of Islamic faith in northern Taiwan.
