It was a Type-D official's residence, part of the. The Daxi History Hall is estimated to have been built between the 12th and 15th years of the Showa era in Japan (1937-1940 AD). It was a Type-D official's residence, part of the Daxi century-old police dormitory complex; due to its layout as a row of four units, it was called a "four-unit row house." The concrete building at the rear was an addition by residents after the war to meet their needs, showcasing the appearance of different periods of use. It witnesses the nearly century-long history and changes of Daxi's police administration on one hand, and records the life trajectories of residents from different eras on the other. It was registered as a historical building in the 101st year of the Republic of China (2012 AD). After renovation, it became a public hall of the Wood Art Eco-Museum, and during the renovation, some old materials and traces of residents' use were specially preserved.
