Xinpu Hakka Culture Preservation Area is an old settlement preservation area. In November 2006, the Hsinchu County Government gratuitously allocated it to the Hakka Affairs Council, integrating it with the Zhongxing Community and groups like the Flower Drum Troupe to promote traditional Hakka art activities. On one hand, from the perspective of cultural creativity and knowledge economy, it cultivates local cultural and creative industries through the interpretation of traditional Hakka culture. On the other hand, in terms of urban development functions, in addition to serving as a recreational park and green space, it enriches the diverse values of the city and becomes the new downtown of Zhujia, showcasing local characteristics. In December 2010, the Cultural Heritage Division of the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau moved in. In addition to continuing related activities, it strengthened the participatory mechanism for local interaction to strive for more diverse resources and operating models.
