It is a mid-level hiking trail that offers both natural healing and historical significance. The trail is approximately 1.5 kilometers long, with a natural stone path interspersed along the way and a vertical drop of 360 meters. The challenge is moderate, suitable for families to experience the beauty of the deep mountains together. The trail can be accessed from the Mamai Road trailhead, which has a gentler slope and is shaded by dense trees, making it comfortable even in summer. Another entrance, Lidongshan Villa, has a mysterious atmosphere, having been a filming location for horror movies. Next to the villa is a bell of peace, symbolizing blessings and bringing a sense of security and good wishes to travelers. Walking into Lidongshan is like stepping into a forest bath. The virgin forest and bamboo groves are intertwined and full of life. In autumn and winter, the leaves of Taiwan red maple gradually turn red, with colorful foliage spreading across the mountains like a canvas, making it a pilgrimage site for photography enthusiasts and autumn leaf viewers. Upon reaching the summit, the distant scenery unfolds: magnificent mountain views of Dabajian Mountain, Xue Mountain Main Peak, Nanhu Mountain, and the Holy Ridge are all visible. The mottled Baroque-style ancient fort ruins on the summit, once a military cannon site, now stand with only their walls, quietly telling stories of the past.
