A hidden gem in the mountains, summit exploration, one of the Seven Sights of Shei-Pa National Park. Located in the Guanshan area of Wufeng Township, Hsinchu County, the "Yemakan Mountain Forest Trail" is hidden within the Shei-Pa Leisure Farm, offering a secluded hiking route that combines natural scenery with a tranquil atmosphere. The trailhead is conveniently located within the farm, making the starting point easily accessible for both seasoned hikers and families. Starting from the Shei-Pa Leisure Farm's welcome building, after passing the Cloud Sea Cafe, it takes about ten minutes to reach the summit of Yemakan Mountain at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters. Here, a well-maintained third-class triangulation station and four directional markers are set up. Although the elevation is not high, the view is exceptional. In winter, you have the chance to witness the "Seven Sights of Shei-Pa": sunrise, sunset glow, sea of clouds, mountain scenery, mist, rain, and starry sky, making it a place you won't want to leave. Following the summit observation deck, you can connect to a circular forest trail marked with tree trunk tags numbered 1 to 40. Walking on the soft carpet of fallen cedar leaves, you'll pass by charred trees and old logging remnants. Two viewing spots along the way offer panoramic views of Mount Wuzhi, Mount E'gongji, the Leshan Radar Station, and the entire farm, providing expansive and refreshing vistas. In addition to hiking and sightseeing, after descending, you can enjoy fruit picking and flower viewing within the farm, or visit the nearby Guanshan National Forest Recreation Area to continue exploring the mountain scenery.
