E'gongji Mountain Trail. Located at the border of Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County, and Wufeng Township, Hsinchu County. Both townships have hiking trails for climbing. The southern ridge of Wuzhi Mountain connects to the northern ridge of E'gongji Mountain; because it is a hiking route and a warm-up for climbing larger mountains, hiking associations in Miaoli and Hsinchu often organize events to climb E'gongji Mountain. Additionally, the Saisiyat people divide themselves into northern and southern groups based on the ridge between E'gongji Mountain and Qipingbei Mountain; here, you can experience Saisiyat culture. E'gongji Mountain, with an elevation of 1,579 meters, is located on the ridge extending north from Lucheng Mountain (Leshan). There are at least three trailheads for E'gongji Mountain: one at the Daya traditional trailhead, about 10 kilometers after turning right at kilometer 34.5 on County Highway 122; another within Shangshan Renjia Farm (entrance fee NT$100, deductible from purchases), about 10 kilometers after turning right at kilometer 42.5 on County Highway 122, follow the signs. There is also a trailhead in Donghe Village, Nanzhuang Township. This route has a more primitive landscape and is more challenging, with an elevation gain of 945 meters. The three paths converge at the summit.
