Hou-Dong Trail. Legend has it that Sun Wukong, born from Flower-Fruit Mountain (Wuzhi Mountain), was imprisoned in a cave and suppressed by a spell for being too mischievous and violating heavenly rules. Thousands of years later, a typhoon blew away the spell, causing the rock to crack open again, thus giving the cave its name. The Hou-Dong Trail on Wuzhi Mountain is about 900 meters long, with beautiful scenery along the way, rich primeval forests, and natural ecosystems. It feels like walking through a shaded tunnel, providing a cool and refreshing experience. The trail is composed of stone steps and wooden boardwalks, with cute stone monkeys appearing every 100 meters to greet travelers. The famous "One-Line Sky" on the Hou-Dong Trail is a long stone staircase formed by two large rock walls, with the narrowest point being only about 60 centimeters wide. Venturing deep inside, one marvels at the wonders of nature while also worrying about getting stuck. If you start from the Wuzhi Mountain Guanyin Temple Trail, after walking about 650 meters, you can reach Jin-Gui Rock and then connect to the Hou-Dong Trail to Wuzhi Mountain Zao-Jun Hall. From the highest point of the Hou-Dong Trail, you can overlook Zhubei City, Hsinchu City, and Toufen Town and Zhunan Town in Miaoli, offering pleasant views.
