This unique church is the artistic, spiritual, and cultural center of the village. In 1976, the young Father Gregorios Dings came to Ching Chuan. Father Dings built the Catholic Church with love and beauty. The magnificent stained glass windows inside the church, the murals and wood carvings found everywhere, and even the large mosaic wall on the slope next to the basketball court outside the church, are all creations by the Father, skillfully blending biblical stories with indigenous legends. Father Dings poured his colorful youth into Ching Chuan, adding artistic warmth and life's impact to this originally quiet and cold region.
