Residents of Guansi Township call them Shih Yeh and Shih Po, and regard them as local guardian deities for peace. Many local residents recognize Shih Yeh as their "godfather" to pray for a safe upbringing. Every year on the 8th day of the fourth lunar month, which is Shih Yeh's birthday, his godchildren return to Shih Yeh Pavilion to pay their respects. Beside Shih Yeh Pavilion, there is a couplet that reads, "No grand offerings are needed, sincerity is enough," which has also become a unique feature of this place.
