Golden Lion Ancient Trail. The "Golden Lion Trail" is famous for being adjacent to the renowned temple "Golden Lion Temple" and is located in Hukou Village. Originally a narrow path, it was planned by the First Engineering Office of the Water Resources Agency in June 1997 and transformed into a trail paved with rows of large round stones. The viewing platform on the trail is the best spot for enjoying the scenery. On clear days, one can look north across the vast Taoyuan Plateau and gaze at the Taiwan Strait. In front of the Golden Lion Temple, there are abundant tung trees that bloom profusely in late spring and early summer, creating a spectacular sight like snow covering the trees.
