'Fragrance Travels a Thousand Miles' is located in the outdoor kitchen, where over 40 types of Southeast Asian herbs commonly used in Vietnamese and Thai cuisine are grown, including pandan leaves, lemongrass, wild betel leaves, and Indonesian bananas. In addition to learning about herbs, visitors can further use the locally harvested Chinese basil (Zuòshǒu xiāng) to make their own insect-repellent and itch-relieving balm; use fresh 'ji shǐ téng' leaves to make scrambled eggs; and use pandan leaves to extract juice and knead it into Malaysian coconut balls, among other dishes. This allows for a hands-on experience of how herbs are used in daily life, leaving a deeper impression of Southeast Asian culture. Visitors may have seen their names on menus in ethnic restaurants, but through this experiential tour, they can not only recognize them but also touch and taste them. The 'Mingxiang Nongcao Herb Garden' is part of the Neili Community's community vegetable garden, 'Zhi Zu Yuan,' which also features a no-bend-over garden, allowing elderly residents to participate in cultivating their community and contributing to an environmentally friendly approach, embodying the concept of environmental sustainability in daily life. In addition to community residents jointly producing organic fertilizer, the garden also has a brick kiln, stove, and pavilion area nearby.
