Jiang Axin Mansion. Located amidst national historic sites such as the Beipu Jinguangfu Mansion and Tianshui Hall, and county historic site Beipu Citian Temple, Jiang Axin Mansion holds a significant position in the Beipu streetscape. Beyond its historical significance in the development of Dapai, its architecture represents the characteristics of Beipu's development during the Japanese colonial era. It is currently designated as a county historic site. Jiang Axin was born in 1901. He served as the chairman of the Zhudong Tea Co., Ltd. After Taiwan's retrocession, he established Yongguang Co., Ltd., engaging in black tea exports. He was a wealthy merchant from Beipu who made his fortune in tea and later served as a member of the Taiwan Provincial Provisional Assembly. Jiang Axin's residence was constructed in 1946 and completed in 1949, during the peak of his career. It was built as a luxurious mansion capable of hosting foreign guests and serving as a residence. The construction of Jiang Axin's residence was designed by Peng Yuli, a local architect from Zhudong, adopting a Western style with meticulous attention to materials and craftsmanship.
