In the ninth year of Taisho (1920), it was renamed Liujia. Before Han Chinese settlers arrived, this area was called "Wulun Maomao Huangpu." In the second year of Qianlong (1737), the Zhou family from Jinjiang, Quanzhou, came to this area to cultivate land. In the fourteenth year of Qianlong (1749), the Pingpu indigenous people of the Zhuqian community also moved to this wasteland and established the Dongxing community. By the seventeenth year of Qianlong (1752), Lin Qintang and Lin Sunzhang from Raoping, along with Lin Juzhen and Lin Xiankun, moved from Lugang to cultivate Liuzhangli, built the Liuzhangli Canal, and carried out extensive reclamation. Later, they returned home and invited Lin Sunfu and Lin Suntan to join the cultivation, establishing the Shanqing Hall and laying the foundation for the Lin family of Liujia, Zhubei. Lin Xiankun, with his talent and hard work, united the clan's strength and managed the development of Liujia, quickly rising from the status of a tenant to that of a small landlord. Due to his enthusiasm for public welfare, his social status continued to rise. During the Lin Shuangwen Rebellion, Lin Xiankun rallied the villagers to form a militia to defend their homeland and assisted the Qing army in quelling the rebellion, thus receiving the plaque "Baozhong" and military commendations from the Qing court. Lin Xiankun's third son, Lin Guobao, followed in his father's footsteps, contributing money and effort to the reconstruction of Zhuqian City.
