Zhubei Dongpingli Wenli Hall. Dongping Wenli Hall is a preserved building in the Zhubei High-Speed Rail Special Zone, and it was also the residence of the Lin family. When the high-speed rail land acquisition was carried out, the building was preserved due to its completeness and unique characteristics, and was registered as a historical building in 2007. Dongping Wenli Hall was built in 1934. Originally, it had a layout of one hall and one wing. In 1939, it was expanded to its current layout of one hall and three wings. In 1949, due to family division, further modifications were made, resulting in its present scale. The roof of the building is in the "Five Tigers Descending the Mountain" style, and there is a surrounding wall separating the interior and exterior. Two osmanthus trees in the courtyard are highly distinctive. In front of the house, there was originally a large threshing ground, used as a plaza for drying rice, indicating that the family's rice production was substantial at the time. After the high-speed rail land acquisition and development, this area became a children's park, and the building was preserved. However, the plaza area was developed into road land, and the surrounding environment is completely different from before, with high-rise buildings taking its place. Preserving this traditional building within the streetscape serves as a testament to past development history.
