Zhubei Caitian Fudi. Caitian Fudi was formerly known as Zhuzhanshe Gongguan, or Caitian Palace, and served as the seven-clan hall for the Zhuzhanshe indigenous people. Caitian Fudi was formerly known as Zhuzhanshe Gongguan, or Caitian Palace, and served as the seven-clan hall for the Zhuzhanshe indigenous people. The current Caitian Fudi is a single-entry, three-bay hard-ridge building with swallowtail gables. Its exterior is not as luxurious or refined as typical Han Chinese ancestral halls, but its architectural style is not significantly different. The Pingpu indigenous Zhuzhanshe people were distributed in Zhuzhanpu, extending south to Xiangshan and north to the Zhuzhan River. In the 21st year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1682), Zheng Ke-shuang's troops from the Kingdom of Tungning transported military supplies northward and conscripted indigenous people. The seven northern tribes rebelled. After suppression, most of the Pingpu indigenous people fled into the mountains, with only the Zhuzhanshe people surrendering and gradually moving north, settling in the area that would become Zhuzhan. In the 11th year of the Yongzheng reign (1733), Zhuzhan was enclosed with bamboo fortifications, and the Zhuzhanshe people were ordered to relocate to the old settlement. During this period, the Zhuzhanshe Pingpu indigenous people assisted the Qing court in defending Taiwan's borders, achieving numerous significant accomplishments. Consequently, they were granted land and bestowed with land and fields, and a public hall was constructed. In the 12th year of the Qianlong reign (1747), some Pingpu indigenous people moved to Bali'guo (present-day Xinpu), while others, suffering from floods, moved to Xin She in the 14th year of the Qianlong reign (1749). In the 23rd year of the Qianlong reign (1758), the Prefect of Taiwan, Jue Luo Siming, ordered the assimilated indigenous people to adopt Qing customs of tying their hair and wearing hats and shoes, and bestowed the seven surnames of Qian, Wei, Liao, San, Pan, Li, and Jin according to their respective settlements. He also chose a location where 'the three mountains rise and stand in the center, and the two rivers divide and flow together;'
