Xinpu Chen Ancestral Hall. The 18th generation ancestor of the Chen family, Renhua Gong, migrated from Bai Maping Shang, Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province, with his three sons, Chaogui Gong, Chaozan Gong, and Chaoxue Gong, in the 45th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. The 18th generation ancestor of the Chen family, Renhua Gong, migrated from Bai Maping Shang, Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province, with his three sons, Chaogui Gong, Chaozan Gong, and Chaoxue Gong, to Taiwan in the 45th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, establishing a base in Nankan, Taoyuan. Chaoxue Gong moved to Wufengling, Xinpu, during the Daoguang reign and had two sons. The second son, Changwang Gong, was awarded the title of Gong Sheng (tribute student) in the Xuwu year of the Xianfeng reign, and his official name was changed to Chaogang, with the courtesy name Zuoqing. In the second year of the Tongzhi reign, he was granted the honor of a peacock feather for military merit, selected for the position of Fenzhou with the concurrent title of Tongzhi, achieving both wealth and prestige. In the seventh year of the Tongzhi reign, he initiated the construction of the Chen Ancestral Hall to worship the ancestors of the Chen family. It was completely destroyed by war in the 21st year of the Guangxu reign, and rebuilt in the 24th year of the Guangxu reign, with additional land purchased. The income was used for the perpetual ancestral worship expenses of the descendants. It was also registered under various public estates including Gongye Chen Ancestral Hall, Chen Zongci, Chen Binfeng, Yilong Chang, Huarong Chang, and Jishi Gongye Yidu. Over the years, administrators have been elected from the descendants of Chaoxue Gong.
