Step into Hsinchu, traverse through lush green forests, and the beauty of Hongmao Port will sparkle before your eyes, waiting for you to discover! According to the "Hsinchu Prefecture Gazetteer," Hongmao Port is located at the mouth of the Hongmao River. It was once the main port of northern Taiwan during the Qianlong period and the starting point for pioneers to land. At that time, the Dutch and others like Lang stopped here, leaving their historical mark. The sandy shore was flat, becoming the landing place for many large families, marking the beginning of their new lives. Today, Hongmao Port not only boasts a rich historical background but is also a beautiful natural attraction. The mangrove forest here is a unique mixed forest of Kandelia obovata and Aegiceras corniculatum in northern Taiwan, protecting a precious ecosystem. You can stroll through the recreation area, following the exquisitely designed pedestrian walkways to explore this unique natural landscape in depth. Especially at dusk, ascend the observation tower to admire the sunset and feel the tranquility and magnificence of nature. The interweaving of history and natural scenery here offers an unforgettable experience for every visitor.
