The Guanxi Police Station is the only county-designated historic police station in Hsinchu County, preserving a complete park for police officers' work and life, witnessing the changes in the police system from the Japanese colonial era to the present, and the history of local public security. The entire area includes official buildings and residences from the Japanese colonial era. The police station, the chief's dormitory, and the officers' dormitories form a complete area, possessing local characteristics and historical significance for the Guanxi police system. The buildings of the Guanxi Police Station exhibit different architectural styles due to differences in usage or construction periods. They can be mainly divided into Western historic style buildings and traditional Japanese wooden structures. The Guanxi Police Station is a Western-style reinforced concrete and brick structure, a single-story building covered with Japanese tiles. The entrance features a triangular pediment with multi-layered moldings. The doorposts have Western geometric patterns, also characteristic of the popular "Kōa" style architecture of the time. The "Chief's Dormitory," "Four-Unit Bachelor Officers' Dormitory," and "Japanese-style Dormitory" behind it are Japanese-style wooden buildings covered with cultural tiles, with ghost tiles on the roof serving as important decorative elements.
