Liu Hsing-chin Comic Education Museum. When visiting Neiwan, many people are familiar with the renowned local painter Liu Hsing-chin. When visiting Neiwan, many people are familiar with the renowned local painter Liu Hsing-chin. Liu Hsing-chin, famous for comics like "Ah-San and Auntie Po" and "Robot and Ah-Jin," once authorized the use of his comic characters' portraits to surrounding businesses for one dollar to help promote local tourism in Neiwan. Liu Hsing-chin had always hoped to have his own comic exhibition hall, so he utilized the space of the specialized classroom at Neiwan Elementary School in Hsinchu County to plan and establish the museum. Visitors to Neiwan can not only see the figures of Ah-San and Auntie Po everywhere but also appreciate his artworks in the comic exhibition hall. The museum features a cultural and creative products area, a time tunnel, regular comic art exhibitions, and a comic secret garden. The two-story comic exhibition hall displays many of Teacher Liu's original comic works on the first floor. Walking through the time corridor, visitors can learn about the wonderful moments in Teacher Liu's creative career. Many people only know Liu Hsing-chin as a cartoonist; in fact, he also has another identity as an "inventor"! Telescopic umbrella covers, portable raincoats, and pencils with replaceable lead cores are all creations of Teacher Liu. In his later years, he focused on children's education and invented learning materials such as children's self-learning machines. His agile mind is always willing to share, integrating education and entertainment into daily life.
