Trail Path: Shengxing Station - Dachao Pai - Fork Square - Trailhead (Southwest side, Southeast side) - Guandao Mountain Triangulation Point, elevation 888 meters, the main peak of the Guandao Mountain Range, located at the border of Dahu and Sanyi Townships in Miaoli County. The surrounding terrain is mostly gentle slopes and wide ridges of hills. Guandao Mountain stands out like a crane among chickens in this hilly area. The north face of Guandao Mountain's main peak features steep cliffs. Looking up from the valley, it appears as a pillar reaching the sky, named for its resemblance to a Guan Dao (a type of Chinese broadsword). The Guandao Mountain area boasts extremely rich and diverse ecosystems. The summit offers panoramic views and can be connected to attractions such as Shengxing Station, Yutengping Broken Bridge, Liyutan Reservoir, and Shuangtan Leisure Agriculture Area via multiple trails. On holidays, it's common to see people visiting Guandao Mountain together to enjoy the forest rich in phytoncides. The Guandao Mountain Ridge Ancient Trail runs from Shengxing, Sanyi, through Guandao Mountain to Xinkai Shuangkeng Bridge (Provincial Highway 3). The Guandao Mountain Trail is the western section of the Guandao Mountain Ridge Ancient Trail, the segment between Shengxing and Guandao Mountain. This section winds along Liyutan Reservoir, appearing tranquil and elegant. Along the trail, one can see Acacia trees, Moso bamboo, Tung oil trees, Miscanthus, and taro growing abundantly, with birdsong filling the air.
