Lo Fu-hsing Memorial Hall. Located on the mountainside, the Lo Fu-hsing Memorial Hall features a deep blue roof and a light yellow-orange exterior. From afar, this building, which blends Chinese architectural characteristics with Hakka roundhouses, can be seen. It was established to commemorate the anti-Japanese hero Lo Fu-hsing, who was dissatisfied with Japanese colonial rule and secretly planned resistance activities. He and several other patriots were arrested and martyred in the 3rd year of the Republic of China (1914). After Taiwan's retrocession, the government built Chaochung Pagoda in Dahu to bury the remains of these patriots. Later, through the efforts of various sectors in Dahu Township, this hall was established near Chaochung Pagoda and officially opened in the 89th year of the Republic of China (2000). It is a multi-functional local cultural center with 4 floors above ground and 1 basement level. The exhibition areas are divided into static and dynamic sections. The first floor is a multi-functional assembly hall and office. The second floor is the Dahu Specialty Theme Hall, introducing traditional local industries such as strawberries, lemongrass, camphor, and silk. The third floor is a multi-functional assembly hall that can be used for workshops or performances. The fourth floor is the Lo Fu-hsing Historical Exhibition Hall, displaying photographs, indictments, judgment transcripts, and poems written by Lo Fu-hsing during his time in hiding.
