Formerly known as Yuanli Port, named after its location at the mouth of the Yuanli River, it is the port for this area after Tugong Port. Cai Zhenfeng's "Yuanli Zhi" records that Yuanli Port was wide and deep without obstacles, so many merchant ships docked there, with masts standing tall and boats crowded like ants. Yuan'gang Anchorage was listed as one of the eight scenic spots of Pengshan. After the Japanese occupation, trade with China was prohibited, leading to its decline. Around 1991, it was developed into a tourism fishing harbor, offering visitors seafood snacks, sea fishing, and seine fishing activities. "Yuangang Tourism Fishing Harbor" is located at the northern end of the coast of Yuanli Township. In the early days, it was a simple estuary-type anchorage. After planning and construction, it gradually developed into a tourism fishing harbor with a fishermen's activity center, a sea-viewing tower, children's play equipment, a grilled fish area, shaded trellises, a performance plaza, a processing and repair area, a direct sales center, shellfish cultivation ponds, a campsite, parking lots, walking paths, an arch bridge, and pavilions. The west plaza has also been developed into a green space, sports plaza, and a nostalgic light rail track, suitable for morning runs, exercise, kite flying, watching sunsets, and listening to the waves. It can be described as a multi-functional leisure fishing harbor. Here, visitors can not only buy fresh fish but also enjoy seaside activities, with both sea and land attractions – fishing on the shore, flying kites with children, or going to the beach to dig for clams, catch shrimp and crabs, and play in the sand, sharing family fun. However, as it is a fishing harbor, the most attractive thing is still the fresh fish!
