In the northeastern corner of Toufen City, on the lateritic red soil hills of Laoqi, lies a hidden, undeveloped paradise. Here, you'll find terraced tea fields, camphor tree-lined paths, and the gentle whisper of pine trees, with acacia trees lining the way. There are also recreational trails connecting various natural landscapes, accompanied by the symphony of cicadas and birdsong. In summer, tung blossoms fall like romantic white snow, carpeting the ground. As seasons change, the yellow acacia flowers, pomelo blossoms, and pear blossoms take center stage, accompanying visitors on their trail explorations. Their vibrant colors and refreshing fragrances always leave visitors amazed. We call this secluded paradise 'Toufen Back Garden'.
The first stop when visiting Toufen Back Garden must be the 'Laoqi Recreational Trail'. This is the new look of the Laoqi Trail after renovation. All related construction maintained the original terrain and mountain features, built with natural ecological engineering methods, making it beautiful and rustic. The trail is about four kilometers long, with parking lots at the four entrances: Xuanhua Hall, Jin Chun Farm, Yiming Tea Plantation, and Rixin Tea Plantation. Visitors can choose a short round trip or an O-shaped loop hike based on their time and stamina. Along the way, pine forest stone steps, camphor red soil paths, wooden sleeper paths, and acacia red soil paths each offer their unique charm.
Toufen is famous for producing 'Pong Fong Tea', hence the numerous tea plantations within the Back Garden. In front of each tea house stands a sign for 'Toufen Back Garden'.
