Xianxi Valley. Located in Nanzhuang Township, Xianxi Valley is situated 2 kilometers before Lucang, at the confluence of the Fengmei and Bilin rivers. It is the most distinctive feature of the Lucang scenery. However, due to the steep riverbed of Xianxi Valley, which poses a safety risk, it was closed many years ago. The Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Administration of the Ministry of the Interior has since planned and constructed a trail. The wooden sleeper and gravel trail, built with ecological engineering methods, allows visitors to safely approach the stream for sightseeing and to witness the beautiful and mysterious charm of Xianxi Valley. The suspension bridge, with its Atayal tribal flavor, has also been rebuilt. The beautiful mountain valley and stream scenery isolates the summer heat of the city. Breathing in the abundant phytoncides and moist air, listening to the gurgling water, and feeling the gentle mountain breeze – what could be more enjoyable! Xianxi Valley offers a very open landscape, divided into upper and lower levels. The upper rock bed is not long, and the rushing stream has carved many grooves into the rock bed, forming beautiful patterns. The lower level is about 30 meters lower than the upper level and consists of 6 to 7 rock steps. Water cascades down from above, dividing into multiple rushing waterfalls, forming a 2-meter deep pool at the bottom, with cool and clear water. The suspension bridge is 150 meters long and connects to the Shimen Trail on the opposite bank, allowing visitors to walk all the way to Shimen. Standing on the bridge and looking out, the upstream offers a panoramic view of Xianxi Valley, while the downstream reveals a deep green gorge. The scenery is distinct yet equally stunning.
