Beard Plum Garden Museum. This park was established in 1978, and its establishment has a history; more than twenty years ago, the master of traditional Chinese painting, Mr. Chang Dai-chien, came to Nanzhuang, but was disappointed because he could not see. Although Master Chang never had the chance to see the plum blossoms blooming in Nanzhuang, the owner gained experience in planting plum trees and transformed the park into a garden that combines nature, culture, and art. The park cultivates plum blossoms in an area of about 0.6 hectares, with over 20 varieties of plum blossoms, including rare treasures such as century-old red plum trees and golden-thread weeping plum trees, as well as many exquisite potted plum trees. During the plum blossom season from December to March each year, the branches full of plum blossoms always decorate the park beautifully. In addition to admiring plum blossoms, you can also taste plum blossom tea brewed with unopened plum blossoms, which has a unique flavor and is the best beverage. Outside of the plum blossom season, cherry blossoms, tung flowers, lotus flowers, maple leaves, osmanthus flowers, and others bloom in sequence, filling the park with different charms throughout the four seasons. In addition to outdoor plum blossoms, there is a museum within the park that collects many calligraphy and paintings related to plum blossoms and Bodhidharma, as well as ancient artifacts from Nanzhuang's early prosperous mining and forestry industries. These are displayed periodically, adding a cultural touch to the plum garden.
