Dongli Family Style - Century-Old House. Yuanli Township was originally the habitat of the Taoas indigenous people (also known as Pingpu people). Yuanli Township was originally the habitat of the Taoas indigenous people (also known as Pingpu people). Before the Qing Dynasty, there were four Taoas communities: "Fangli Village", "Yuanli Village", "Maoyu Village", and "Ribei Village". In the area of Zhonggouwei (the western end of the Zhonggou area), the terrain is flat and vast. The "Zhonggou Zheng Family Settlement" was built there under the guidance of a master to the ancestors. The architectural layout of the entire "Zhonggou Zheng Family Settlement" faces north and south. Viewed from afar to the south, it is backed by mountains to the north and faces a stream to the south. On the right is the "Old Zheng House", in the middle is the "Dongli Family Style" Sanheyuan (a three-section house with a courtyard), and on the left is the Japanese-style ancient building "Zheng Residence". These form a super large settlement connected from east to west, which is very spectacular. The "Dongli Family Style" Sanheyuan is a Sanheyuan building with an ancient house exterior. It is a rare and well-preserved red brick and glazed tile building in Taiwan. Under the guidance and protection of the government, it showcases the exquisite and solid traditional Chinese architectural craftsmanship, displaying the meticulously carved original architectural artistic style. The century-old cypress tree in front of the courtyard, combined with the complete Sanheyuan main building connected to the four surrounding Hulong (side rooms) on the left and right, has become the most distinctive homestay area, attracting various TV stations to film and take pictures in the ancient house. It is also an important tourist attraction in Yuanli Township.
