Hakkani Mountain is 1988 meters above sea level and was once a hunting ground for the Atayal people. The forest remains well-preserved, beautiful, and charming. Shortly after starting the hike, the ridgeline offers a good vantage point to overlook Louchang Village. From a point on the middle-end ridgeline, one can even see the mouth of the Zhonggang River and the West Coast Highway bridge in the distance. Furthermore, because Hakkani Mountain is located inland and at a high elevation, it is less affected by strong winds, often shrouded in mist, making a walk through it feel like entering a mystical fairyland.
