At that time, glass jar candles were popular, with integrated production and sales. In the 1990s, the glass industry began to decline, and Man Chu shifted to artistic candles. Among them, the wax figure dolls produced for export to Europe and America were the bestsellers. There were even trading companies that wanted to buy out the agency rights. Later, due to cheap dumping from China, the overseas market shrank, and they reluctantly gave up on wax figure dolls. While researching and developing, Boss Chen began to think, “Candle factories must transform!” Creating a candle factory suitable for parent-child DIY, designing candles suitable for children's drawing, “We hope that parents and children who visit Man Chu can leave with full happiness and satisfaction!”, the name 'Man Chu' was born! In 2015, it was certified as a Story House by the Miaoli County Government, hoping to promote more stories and beauty about candles to people all over the country! Toufen Man Chu DIY Candle Story House embodies the culture and art of candles, with thousands of festival candles exported to various countries for people to understand candle knowledge.
