After the completion of the Xihe Reservoir and the Emei Bridge above in 1951, the Yuehmei Suspension Bridge retired from its duties, with only the bridgeheads and pillars on both sides remaining. Later, a short steel bridge section was built on the bridgehead pillars, supported by tie rods and the old bridge piers, extending a transparent glass-decked viewing platform over the river. Standing on the bridge, you can admire the natural scenery of the river upstream and downstream. Through the glass bridge deck, you can see the Emei River flowing gently beneath, with egrets occasionally flying by, creating a serene and refreshing scene.
