From the name Laochonggui, it can be inferred that this place was once an arsenal for storing firearms, a military stronghold used by early Han settlers to defend their homes. The route of Laochonggui Trail largely follows the mountain ridge and later became a transportation route for local agricultural products. After modern roads were gradually built, the old trail lost its function and fell into disuse. Later, it was renovated and rebuilt, using natural ecological methods to pave the trail, maintaining its original dirt surface. Along the way, there are camphor trees, acacia trees, and bamboo forests. During the Tung Blossom Festival, petals flutter romantically, making it a scenic and beautiful natural trail.
