It has undergone five renovations during the 60th year of Qianlong's reign (1795), the 9th year of Daoguang's reign (1829), the 2nd year of Xianfeng's reign (1852), the 11th year of Showa (1936), and the 75th year of the Republic of China (1986). In the 72nd year of the Republic of China (1983), Longshan Temple was designated as a Grade 1 Historic Site. It is now a National Historic Site.
