After retrocession, the original Xihu Township was reorganized into Xihu Town, and the Township Office was renamed the Xihu Town Hall. Originally, there were dormitories and a guard room behind the Town Hall. The dormitories were demolished in 1967, and an office was added to the southwest side. The guard room was demolished in the 1980s, and an office was added to the southeast side. In 1982, there was a plan to demolish the original Township Office building, but it was later abandoned due to unforeseen circumstances. It has been used as the Town Hall office since 1986 and was registered as a historical building on April 10, 2002. The original Xihu Township Office is a two-story reinforced concrete and reinforced brick building with a hipped roof covered with cement tiles. The facade of the Township Office features a gable wall with three arched stucco decorations below the gable, windows on both sides, and a doorway in the middle leading to a balcony. The exterior of the Xihu Township Office has a geometric design, exhibiting an Art Deco architectural style. There is a staircase on the right side of the Township Office leading to the second floor. The second floor was formerly used as an auditorium and is currently the office of the Xihu Village Secretary.
