"I am unwilling to create works that do not move myself" is Shih Hsing-hui's creative philosophy. Over twenty years of pottery making, he has continuously contemplated the relationship between himself and the land, life, and creation. Therefore, he explores people, events, objects, and places in daily life, and presents the relationship between people and works through the inspirations drawn from every bit of his surroundings. After years of refinement, he has finally gradually integrated the scenery and objects of his life into his works.
