Zhongyi Temple — Zhongyi Temple, located in Lugang Beitou, was established in 1790 (the 55th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty) after its incense was brought from Quanzhou, mainland China. In its early days, it operated under a rotating system where the deity was worshipped in different private homes.

The exterior of Zhongyi Temple is magnificent, with marble engravings on both side walls featuring poems by renowned calligraphers, painters, and literary poets from Lugang. It also boasts exquisitely crafted wooden shrines and a plaque inscribed with "Yi Yong Jing Zhong" (Loyalty, Bravery, and Utmost Devotion).
