Jasmine flowers were introduced from northern Taiwan to Huatan in the 1950s. Due to Huatan Township's unique climate and environment, jasmine flowers became the lifeblood of Huatan Township's industrial development, with its output being the highest in Taiwan. In recent years, facing challenges from the influx of cheap jasmine flowers from other regions, the jasmine industry has gradually declined. To revitalize Huatan Township's jasmine industry, the Huatan Township Farmers' Association has entered into contracts with farmers, changing traditional cultivation methods and adopting safe farming practices to grow pesticide-free jasmine flowers. After various trials and setbacks, the "Jasmine Flower Garden" brand was finally established. All products are made with locally grown jasmine flowers that have passed SGS testing for zero pesticide residue. Upholding its original intention and persistence, it has won numerous domestic and international awards. In 2013, the Huatan Farmers' Association converted an eighty-year-old granary into the "Jasmine Flower Garden Dream Hall," sincerely inviting everyone to visit the Dream Hall to admire, taste, and enjoy jasmine!
