The station was designed by architect Kris Yao, with the overall concept of a "golden-level green building." It emphasizes the spirit of local industries, using the character "田" (field) as its design concept, and incorporating flowers and sunlight to create the distinctive features of Changhua Station, attempting to infuse local floral imagery into a modern high-tech station. The floor-to-ceiling windows and indoor green landscaping within the station create a spectacular visual transformation with the lights and architectural silhouettes at night. In April 2016, it won the "Popular Choice Award" in the train station category at the A+Awards hosted by Architizer in the United States, making it an absolutely important landmark in Tianzhong.
